Watan Fund, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, has launched an innovative educational model — the first of its kind within the summer programme activities organised by the Fund this year — under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Watan Fund.

The initiative aims to harness artificial intelligence technologies and information technology to support students' learning of Arabic language and mathematics, in a step that reflects the United Arab Emirates' direction towards employing modern technologies in developing the educational process and preparing generations capable of meeting the demands of the future.

Around 1,000 male and female students distributed across 20 schools participating in Watan Fund's summer programmes will benefit from the new initiative.

Mubarak Al Muhairi, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, said: "This initiative places the student at the heart of a more flexible learning experience tailored to their academic needs, through the use of technology and artificial intelligence tools.

It also enables students to build a stronger knowledge foundation and enhances their confidence in their abilities to think, analyse and solve problems. Our partnership with Watan Fund comes within efforts to expand learning opportunities outside the classroom and to provide meaningful summer experiences that enrich students' educational journey in the emirate."

For his part, Yasser Al Qarqawi, Director General of Watan Fund, affirmed that the launch of this model in cooperation with the Department of Education and Knowledge represents an important milestone in the development of Watan Fund's summer programmes. He noted that the Fund is keen to ensure its programmes serve as a genuine platform for testing innovative educational initiatives that have a positive impact on students and contribute to developing their capabilities, in line with the UAE's national vision.

Al Qarqawi said: "True investment begins with investing in people, as our wise leadership has taught us. Equipping our children with digital and cognitive skills has become a national necessity amid the accelerating technological revolution. That is why we were keen, in cooperation with the Department of Education and Knowledge, to launch this distinctive initiative, which employs artificial intelligence to support the learning of Arabic language and mathematics — as they are among the most important foundations for shaping students' character and developing their capabilities."
