Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoun Al Muhairi, Commander-General of Abu Dhabi Police, visited the Traffic and Security Patrols Department in the outer regions, where he reviewed operational progress, development initiatives, and strategic and operational performance indicators. The visit reflects his commitment to monitoring the readiness of the traffic operations system and enhancing performance efficiency in support of Abu Dhabi Police's strategic priority of "Smart Road Security." He was briefed on the most prominent development initiatives and projects, the department's efforts to improve security patrol readiness, speed of response to reports, and the use of modern technologies to support field operations, as well as ongoing training and qualification programmes for department personnel designed to strengthen their readiness to handle various traffic situations and conditions in line with best policing practices, thereby contributing to the enhancement of road safety and the protection of lives and property.

He stressed the importance of continuing to develop the traffic operations system and raising the level of field readiness through continuous training and the refinement of specialist skills, enhancing integration among the various police units, improving the efficiency of field patrols, and intensifying awareness campaigns targeting all segments of society — particularly young people — to entrench a culture of compliance with traffic laws, regulations, and rules, in a manner that enhances quality of life and preserves the gains made in security and safety.
