The UAE Public Prosecution held the first edition of its Clients Council, the "Lawyers Council", under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency Counsellor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, Attorney General of the Federation.
The council was attended by a distinguished group of lawyers, alongside Public Prosecution leaders, officials, and those responsible for judicial services.
The council was convened within the framework of the "Clients Councils" initiative launched by the UAE government, aimed at enhancing client participation in the development of government services, improving the quality of their experience, and reinforcing an approach of partnership and continuous development.
The council featured a review of the results of a lawyers' opinion survey launched by the Public Prosecution over the past period, designed to identify their views and aspirations and measure their satisfaction with the services provided. The results showed a positive level of satisfaction. The council also reviewed the most prominent challenges, needs, and development opportunities related to the judicial and digital services offered to lawyers.
Participants discussed a number of development priorities aimed at enhancing the lawyers' experience and raising service efficiency, including strengthening digital transparency and case tracking, digital empowerment of law firms, knowledge empowerment of lawyers, and the continuous improvement of service quality. A number of development proposals and initiatives aimed at improving judicial services and procedures and enhancing the efficiency of digital channels were also examined.
His Excellency Counsellor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi affirmed that the Public Prosecution regards lawyers as key partners in achieving justice and upholding the rule of law, noting that developing the judicial services system requires strengthening communication channels and continuously listening to the views and suggestions of the legal community, drawing on them in the design of future services and initiatives.
He said that the Lawyers Council represents an institutional platform for dialogue and partnership with lawyers, embodying the Public Prosecution's commitment to involving them in continuous development and improvement efforts. "We believe that listening to the views of partners and clients is a fundamental pillar for developing more efficient and higher-quality services, and for enhancing the readiness of the justice system to meet the requirements of the future," he said.
The Public Prosecution affirmed that the Lawyers Council represents a sustainable institutional platform for dialogue and consultation with the legal community, contributing to hearing lawyers' views and suggestions and involving them in the development of future services and initiatives, in a manner that enhances the efficiency of the justice system and elevates the quality of judicial services provided.
