The Community Police Department of Abu Dhabi Police General Command, in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Councils at the Citizens and Community Affairs Office of the Presidential Court, organised an awareness session titled "The Family in the Face of Cybercrime: Challenges and Solutions" at the Al Qua'a Council in Al Ain. The session was attended by a number of local residents, community members, and participants in the "We Are All Police" programme, coinciding with the initiatives of the Year of the Family 2026.

The event forms part of Abu Dhabi Police's efforts to strengthen preventive security and consolidate community partnership in family protection. Major Mohammed Salem Al Dra'ei of Al Qua'a Police Centre underlined the importance of community councils in raising security awareness among families.

He pointed to the role played by Abu Dhabi Police in protecting the community from cybercrime through an integrated framework combining awareness, prevention, and response to emerging threats, thereby contributing to improved quality of life and community safety.

Major Mohammed Salim Al Dra'ei of the Criminal Investigation and Forensic Research Department in the Al Ain region spoke about the most prominent challenges associated with cybercrimes targeting families, explaining that the rapid pace of technological development and the diversity of electronic fraud methods require heightened public awareness and the promotion of a safe digital culture.
