His Excellency Abdullah Hassan Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, presented copies of his credentials to His Excellency Melaku Bedada, Director of the Protocol Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, during a ceremony held at the ministry's headquarters in the capital Addis Ababa.
His Excellency Melaku Bedada welcomed the ambassador, wishing him success in carrying out his duties, and reaffirmed the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia's keenness to strengthen cooperative relations with the United Arab Emirates in ways that serve the common interests of both countries.
For his part, the ambassador expressed his pride in representing the United Arab Emirates in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and his commitment to strengthening and activating bilateral relations across various fields in a manner that reinforces the bonds of friendship between the two countries.
The meeting also featured a review of areas of cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia, and an exploration of ways to develop and expand them in fulfilment of the interests and aspirations of both countries and their friendly peoples.
