The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is continuing to develop the Suhail app within its unified digital channels ecosystem, in a move that reflects the government's drive to consolidate digital channels and deliver an integrated mobility experience through a single platform that brings together various transport services and modes across the emirate. This comes as part of a comprehensive roadmap aimed at developing the app in ways that enhance inter-agency integration and simplify the customer journey.
The authority's efforts to develop the Suhail app continue in line with a forward-looking roadmap designed to strengthen its standing by expanding the range of services and deepening partnerships with both the public and private sectors, cementing the app's position as a comprehensive digital mobility platform for the emirate.
The Suhail app enhances the mobility experience by making the public transport payment system accessible through the Nol card, enabling customers to manage their cards and complete various related services via the app. These include topping up credit, purchasing and renewing transit passes, and applying for and renewing a personalised Nol card, all re-engineered in line with the principles of the 360 Services Policy.
The app was recently launched on smartwatches, allowing customers to follow trip information, arrival and departure times, and real-time alerts directly from their smartwatch — a step that gives customers faster and easier access to journey information while on the move.
The Suhail app is an integrated digital platform that enables customers to plan journeys across various public transport modes, including buses, metro, tram and marine transport, alongside integration with on-demand mobility services, taxi booking, and first- and last-mile transport options such as electric scooters and bicycles, providing a seamless end-to-end mobility experience through a single platform. The app also provides real-time journey information, bus occupancy data, and instant alerts on any changes or delays, enabling customers to plan their trips with greater efficiency.
