The Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah has launched its summer programmes for 2026 under the theme "A Summer That Makes an Impact", as part of its vision to invest the summer holiday in developing individuals, nurturing the knowledge of the young, and reinforcing Islamic values and national identity. The programmes run throughout July and August, targeting male and female students across all age groups through an integrated educational and pedagogical framework that combines religious grounding, character building, and purposeful activities.
The programmes will be held at a number of mosques across the emirate and at the department's headquarters in Sharjah city. They include a summer academic course for boys, a summer course for girls, and the third edition of the "Hearts Attached to Mosques" programme, thereby broadening the scope of benefit and providing diverse opportunities for young people to make the most of their holiday time in ways that enrich them academically, educationally, and behaviourally.
Dr Issa Saif Ahmed bin Hanzal, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and Chairman of the Department of Islamic Affairs, affirmed that the summer programmes are no longer merely seasonal activities, but represent a comprehensive educational project aimed at preparing a generation equipped with sound knowledge, firm values, and the awareness needed to face the challenges of the age.
