Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held two separate phone calls with His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the brotherly State of Qatar, and His Excellency Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the brotherly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, to discuss the latest developments in the region.

The two calls covered the overall regional developments in the aftermath of the Iranian aggressive attack targeting the brotherly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with missiles, as well as the Iranian aggressive attack targeting the Qatari tanker "Al Rukayyat" while it was transiting near the Strait of Hormuz, with both sides reviewing the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation in regional and international waters.

During both calls, His Highness expressed the United Arab Emirates' full solidarity with Qatar and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, affirming the UAE's keenness to support everything that reinforces the security and stability of the two brotherly countries and safeguards the safety of their peoples.

Sheikh Abdullah also discussed with His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and His Excellency Ayman Safadi a number of issues of common interest related to the brotherly UAE-Qatari and UAE-Jordanian relations, as well as avenues of joint cooperation and ways to strengthen them in a manner that serves shared interests.
