Sheikh Dr Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Global Charitable Work Authority, has presented a cheque for 2 million dirhams in support of the prosthetic limbs programme "Step of Hope", which is being implemented in cooperation with Operation "Noble Knight 3", with the aim of providing, manufacturing and fitting prosthetic limbs, alongside rehabilitation services for injured Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip.
Sheikh Dr Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi affirmed that this support is an extension of the deeply rooted humanitarian approach adopted by the United Arab Emirates in standing by its Palestinian brothers, and an embodiment of the Authority's commitment to supporting qualitative humanitarian initiatives that help alleviate the suffering of the injured and meet their medical and rehabilitative needs.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Charitable Work Authority said that the "Step of Hope" programme, implemented in partnership with Operation "Noble Knight 3", represents a model of UAE humanitarian action based on rapid and effective response to the needs of those affected, and a translation of the wise leadership's directives to extend a helping hand to Palestinian brothers, particularly those injured who have lost their limbs as a result of events in the Gaza Strip.
For his part, Dr Khaled Abdulwahab Al Khajah, Secretary-General of the Global Charitable Work Authority, affirmed that the programme aims to restore hope to the injured through an integrated system encompassing the provision of prosthetic limbs, rehabilitation services, physiotherapy and medical follow-up, contributing to improving their quality of life and enabling them to regain their ability to carry out their daily activities.
Hammoud Saeed Al Afari, Relief Operations Coordinator for Operation "Noble Knight 3", expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Global Charitable Work Authority for its continued support of Operation Noble Knight 3 in general and the prosthetic limbs programme "Step of Hope" in particular, which embodies the continued commitment of the United Arab Emirates to supporting its Palestinian brothers and alleviating their suffering.
