Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State — may God preserve him — today received a delegation from the UAE Hajj Affairs Office and its affiliated committees responsible for the affairs of the country's pilgrims during this year's Hajj season.

During the meeting, His Highness was briefed on the initiatives and programmes implemented by the office to serve pilgrims and attend to their needs, providing them with the highest standards of care and attention, as well as the future plans the office aims to implement in order to continue developing its services and initiatives related to organising the various affairs of the country's pilgrims.

His Highness expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the members of the UAE Hajj Affairs Office and its committees in serving pilgrims and enabling them to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind, affirming that attending to their affairs and caring for them from the moment of their arrival in the Holy Land until their return home is a priority.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtour Al Derei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat and head of the UAE Hajj Affairs Office, commended the support and attention that His Highness the President of the State gives to UAE pilgrims, praising His Highness's directives to provide all capabilities and means to facilitate the office's tasks and support its efforts in serving the country's pilgrims. Al Derei also expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the various state institutions and the level of cooperation and coordination among them in order to elevate services for UAE pilgrims.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to His Highness the President of the State; and a number of sheikhs, ministers and officials.
