Fujairah Municipality showcased its pioneering experience in deploying artificial intelligence technologies to support government operations during its participation in the GITEX AI Europe 2026 exhibition, held at Berlin Messe in the German capital Berlin from 30 June to 1 July, in line with the United Arab Emirates' drive to build a smart, sustainable digital government.
During its participation, the municipality highlighted the "Al Marsad AI" project — an advanced smart government platform developed and operated entirely on local infrastructure. The platform relies on sovereign AI technologies, predictive analytics, and explainable AI, enabling decision-makers to access real-time insights, anticipate future scenarios, and support decision-making efficiently and swiftly through a comprehensive smart assistant.
The municipality also presented the "Workspace Hub AI" project, an integrated institutional platform based on open-source language models. It provides a suite of specialised smart assistants covering planning, legal review, technical support, programming, training, idea evaluation, and content creation, contributing to improved institutional performance, enhanced productivity, and enabling employees to make faster and more precise decisions.
The Deputy Director-General of Fujairah Municipality affirmed that participation in the exhibition reflects the municipality's vision to cement its position among leading government entities in adopting future technologies, and to strengthen its presence on global platforms that bring together expert, innovators and decision-makers in the field of artificial intelligence.
He said that participation in this global event stems from a conviction that artificial intelligence has become a fundamental pillar in developing government work and raising service quality, expressing pride in presenting innovative national projects developed to the highest technical standards — reflecting Fujairah Municipality's direction towards building a more efficient, sustainable and proactive government system capable of leveraging modern technologies to support decision-making and improve user experience.
He added that the participation was an opportunity to strengthen international cooperation, exchange expertise, and learn from global best practices, supporting the digital transformation journey and keeping pace with the vision of the country's wise leadership towards a more innovative and prosperous future.
