The Ministry of Defence has signed a strategic partnership agreement with EDGE Group, one of the world's leading advanced technology and defence conglomerates, to support the organisation of the 46th World Congress on Military Medicine – Abu Dhabi 2026, as the "Strategic Partner" of the congress, which is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi from 9 to 13 November 2026.

The agreement was signed in the presence of senior officials and representatives of both sides. The signing was witnessed by Major General Aisha Sultan Al Dhaheri, Head of the Executive Administration for Military Health at the Ministry of Defence and Chairperson of the Supreme Organising Committee of the World Congress on Military Medicine – Abu Dhabi 2026, alongside His Excellency Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of EDGE Group.

The partnership comes within the framework of the Ministry of Defence's ongoing efforts to strengthen the congress's network of supporting partners and broaden the scope of cooperation with leading national institutions in the defence, technology, and health sectors related to military and civil medicine.

The World Congress on Military Medicine, organised by the Ministry of Defence in cooperation with ADNEC Group, is a leading international scientific platform that brings together an elite group of medical and military leaders, experts, researchers, and practitioners from more than 120 countries, with the aim of exchanging knowledge, showcasing scientific developments, and strengthening international cooperation in healthcare and medical operations, under the theme "Ready to Respond. Resilient to Endure".

Through this partnership, EDGE Group will contribute to supporting the congress by leveraging its expertise in advanced technology, innovation, and specialised solutions, in a manner that reinforces the congress's objectives of supporting readiness and integration among vital sectors related to military and civil medicine.

The World Congress on Military Medicine represents a global platform for advancing scientific dialogue, supporting knowledge exchange, and expanding international partnerships to keep pace with evolving health and humanitarian challenges.

The partnership also reflects the continued cooperation between national institutions and strategic partners to deliver a distinguished edition of the World Congress on Military Medicine – Abu Dhabi 2026, in keeping with the United Arab Emirates' standing as a global hub for hosting specialised international events and its role in developing advanced healthcare and technology systems.
