Al Hamriyah City Municipality has begun preparations to participate in Sharjah's summer programme 'Our Holiday is Different 2026', through a coordination meeting held with Al Hamriyah Cultural Sports Club at the municipality's headquarters, to discuss mechanisms of joint cooperation and put the finishing touches on the programmes and initiatives the municipality will present as part of the summer event, which is considered one of the most prominent initiatives targeting children and youth in the emirate.

Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah City Municipality, affirmed that the municipality views the 'Our Holiday is Different' programme as a national platform for creating a positive impact in the lives of children and youth, noting that annual participation stems from the municipality's sense of social responsibility and its commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to human development and improving quality of life.

He explained that the municipality's various departments and divisions have begun preparing specialised programmes, creative workshops, and awareness sessions suited to different age groups and aligned with participants' aspirations, in ways that strengthen their practical skills, encourage creativity and innovation, and instil in them values of belonging, social responsibility, and environmental conservation.

He added that the municipality will employ its expertise, capabilities, and national cadres to offer a diverse package of activities that blend knowledge, hands-on experience, and purposeful entertainment, contributing to enriching the programme and achieving the greatest possible benefit for participants during the summer holiday.

Al Shamsi praised the efforts of the Sharjah Sports Council and Al Hamriyah Cultural Sports Club in organising the 'Our Holiday is Different' programme, stressing that the programme has succeeded over recent years in cementing its standing as one of the most prominent community initiatives that invest the energies of young people, providing them with an integrated environment to discover their talents and develop their abilities, in line with Sharjah's vision of building generations capable of creativity and active participation in the march of development.
