Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, today held a phone call with Her Excellency Delcy Rodríguez, Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, during which he extended his sincere condolences and sympathy over the victims of the earthquake that recently struck the country, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
He affirmed the solidarity of the United Arab Emirates with Venezuela and its friendly people during these difficult circumstances.
For her part, the Venezuelan acting president expressed her gratitude to the UAE President for the sincere sentiments of solidarity he conveyed with the Venezuelan people, commending the UAE's prompt humanitarian response in providing relief to those affected by the earthquake and mitigating its impact.
The UAE President had previously directed the provision of urgent relief aid worth $10 million to those affected by the earthquake in Venezuela, as part of the UAE's humanitarian solidarity in providing relief to disaster victims and assisting those affected by natural disasters and crises around the world.
