The fifth edition of the Khor Fakkan Mango Festival 2026 opened on Thursday evening in the city of Khor Fakkan, held under the slogan "Mango: Our Fruit, Our Wealth" at the Expo Khor Fakkan Centre. The annual event is jointly organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Municipal Council of Khor Fakkan, the Municipality of Khor Fakkan, and the Expo Khor Fakkan Centre. The festival runs until Sunday evening and has recorded a notable 40% growth in participation compared to the previous edition.

A total of 55 farmers are taking part in the festival, alongside a selection of companies specialising in agriculture and fertilisation, as well as productive families from various emirates across the country. Participants also include representatives from Gulf Cooperation Council states — the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, and the State of Kuwait — as well as an international participant from the Republic of Uganda. The festival's organisational infrastructure has been expanded, with exhibition pavilion space increased by 70% to accommodate the growing turnout. The festival was inaugurated by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees toured the festival's halls and viewed what farmers had on display, including more than 150 varieties of the finest local mangoes, alongside citrus fruits and seasonal produce that abound in the farms of the Eastern Region. Visitors also received detailed explanations about the exhibits, products, and innovative processed industries based on the mango fruit.
