Ras Al Khaimah Municipality announced the issuance of 686 building permits during May 2026, in an indicator reflecting the continued urban and developmental activity in the emirate, supported by growing demand for residential, investment, and service projects.

The municipality also recorded 701 completion certificates and 164 plot plan approval transactions during the same period, confirming the vitality of the construction sector and its role in supporting Ras Al Khaimah's sustainable development journey — reflecting the municipality's efforts to streamline procedures and provide integrated services that support the building and construction sector and enhance quality of life.

Statistics showed that 83 new building permit applications were received, along with 174 modification and addition requests, while the number of transactions under the other permits category reached 429 permits during the same period.

With regard to new and additional licensed buildings, the total number reached 217 permits, distributed across several categories including 83 permits for fences and barriers, 53 permits for annexes, 52 permits for private villas, in addition to 13 permits for investment villas, 10 permits for multi-storey buildings, 4 permits for single-storey buildings, and one permit each for public buildings and industrial buildings.

These indicators reflect continued demand for construction and development projects in the emirate, keeping pace with the urban and economic renaissance Ras Al Khaimah is experiencing, and reinforcing its appeal as a leading investment and residential destination.
