On the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, the United Arab Emirates announced an urgent humanitarian response through the Emirates Aid International Agency to provide relief to those affected by the two earthquakes that struck off the northern coast near the city of Morón in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, allocating $10 million for this response.

The UAE's urgent response comes within the framework of its humanitarian solidarity to aid disaster victims, extend assistance to those in need, and help those affected by natural disasters and crises around the world, contributing to accelerating early recovery efforts, achieving stability, and providing basic necessities — including essential foodstuffs, medical supplies, and various relief materials for all segments of society.

In this context, His Excellency Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Amiri, Director General of the Emirates Aid International Agency, affirmed the leading global humanitarian and relief role that the UAE plays in response to various disasters and crises, drawing on the deeply rooted humanitarian approach of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and in implementation of the inspiring humanitarian vision of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and his unwavering concern, great attention, and unlimited support in delivering relief assistance to communities and peoples affected by natural disasters and mitigating their consequences for all segments of society.

His Excellency explained that those affected by the two earthquakes are facing dire humanitarian conditions and critical living circumstances, necessitating immediate action to provide the required relief assistance. He noted that the Emirates Aid International Agency is coordinating with Venezuelan local authorities and the relevant international organisations to ensure the urgent delivery of food supplies, medical materials, and shelter equipment, and to meet pressing needs, thereby helping to alleviate the devastating impact of the two earthquakes on all affected groups.
