The Supreme Council of Energy in Dubai organised an awareness workshop at the Grand Hyatt Dubai hotel, aimed at equipping companies and institutions operating in the energy sector with knowledge of the regulatory frameworks and technical controls stipulated in Executive Council Resolution No. 85 of 2025 on the regulation of petroleum products trading in the Emirate of Dubai.

The workshop was opened with a keynote address delivered by Ahmed Buti Al Muhairbi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Energy and Chairman of the Dubai Petroleum Products Trading Regulation Committee, in the presence of a number of specialised teams and experts concerned with petroleum derivatives from prominent entities in the emirate.

The workshop presented valuable insights into the background and rationale of the resolution.

Ahmed Buti Al Muhairbi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Energy and Chairman of the Dubai Petroleum Products Trading Regulation Committee, affirmed that the petroleum products trading regulation resolution represents an important step towards enhancing the reliability and efficiency of Dubai's market, by providing a clear regulatory framework that ensures the highest standards of safety, compliance, and transparency. He added that it also contributes to enabling companies to conduct their business within an organised operational environment that supports the sustainability of the sector and enhances its readiness.
