Under the gracious patronage of Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain and Chairman of the Executive Council, and in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Deputy Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, and His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sandooq Al Watan, the emirate of Umm Al Quwain hosted the 'Ahd wa Waad' (Pledge and Promise) forum at the Umm Al Quwain Cultural Centre. The event drew broad participation from officials, community figures, and representatives of various segments of society, as part of the national community initiative held under the slogan 'A pledge of loyalty and a promise of fulfilment'.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud Al Mualla, Deputy Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, affirmed that the 'Ahd wa Waad' forum reflects the great esteem in which Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State — may God protect him — is held by citizens and residents alike. He said the forum embodies the UAE's deep-rooted national cohesion and the strong bond between the leadership and the people, built on mutual trust, a shared vision, and a collective commitment to advancing the nation and sustaining its development journey.
His Highness said: "The UAE is steadily advancing towards a more prosperous future, thanks to the wise vision of the President of the State — may God protect him — who continues to lead the path of comprehensive development and consolidate the national achievements built over decades of work and dedication."
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sandooq Al Watan, affirmed in his opening address at the forum that 'Ahd wa Waad' embodies the profound and steadfast relationship between the wise leadership and the citizens and residents of the country.
