The United Arab Emirates and the French Republic held the first session of consular consultations in the capital Paris, as part of ongoing joint efforts to strengthen consular cooperation and improve the quality of services provided to citizens of the two friendly countries.
The UAE delegation was led by Faisal Issa Lutfi, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the French side was headed by Pauline Carmona, Director of French Nationals Abroad and Consular Administration at the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. At the outset of the meeting, Faisal Issa Lutfi conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and his wishes for the meeting to be crowned with success, affirming that the UAE and France share longstanding ties of friendship as well as cooperation and strategic partnership across various fields, grounded in the shared vision of both countries' leaderships.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs also expressed his appreciation to the French side for hosting the first session of the consular consultations, noting that the launch of these bilateral consultations embodies the mutual commitment to developing innovative and proactive consular services.
