The Sharjah Charity Association's clinic in Khor Fakkan provided 12,989 free medical services during the first half of this year, benefiting 2,185 low-income patients at a total value of 1.8 million dirhams, as part of the association's efforts to support medical assistance programmes and enhance healthcare for the most vulnerable groups.
Abdul Ghafour Al Ali, director of the association's healthcare centres management office, affirmed that the services provided reflect the association's commitment to delivering treatment and healthcare to beneficiaries, rooted in its belief that health is a fundamental pillar for human empowerment and improving quality of life.
He explained that the clinic provided 5,142 medical consultations in general medicine and dentistry at a cost exceeding half a million dirhams, alongside the dispensing of 4,512 free prescriptions valued at more than 1.1 million dirhams, helping to ease the financial burden on patients — particularly those with chronic conditions and cases requiring continuous follow-up.
He added that the clinic also conducted 3,335 free medical tests valued at more than 111,000 dirhams, which helped accelerate the diagnosis of cases and complete treatment procedures within the clinic itself, saving patients both time and effort.
He noted that the clinic offers an integrated system encompassing medical examinations, tests, and medication dispensing all in one place, which has a positive impact on patient comfort — especially for the elderly and low-income families — affirming that the association will continue to develop its health services and expand medical assistance to reach the broadest possible segment of beneficiaries and enhance the quality of life for those most in need.
