Dubai Humanitarian has concluded a strategic agreement with the Centre of Competence on Humanitarian Negotiation (CCHN), headquartered in Geneva, aimed at strengthening leadership, negotiation, and diplomacy capacities in the humanitarian sector worldwide. The signing ceremony took place ahead of a specialised senior leadership course at the Knowledge and Development Centre of Dubai Humanitarian, titled "Leading Humanitarian Negotiation and Diplomacy Operations", organised in cooperation with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy.
Under the partnership, the two parties will jointly design and deliver high-impact training programmes, workshops, and simulations, with the goal of equipping humanitarian professionals, decision-makers, and emerging leaders with practical negotiation and leadership skills. The initiative will also promote cooperation among humanitarian organisations, governments, and academic institutions.
Commenting on the signing of the agreement and the launch of the specialised course, Giuseppe Saba, Executive Director and Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian, said: "Our presence sends a strong message that diplomacy remains a fundamental pillar of humanitarian action. In an increasingly complex humanitarian landscape, where nearly half of all global humanitarian aid is directed to conflict-affected environments, reaching those in need remains one of the greatest challenges we face.
"Two years ago, we began a dialogue on the vital role of humanitarian negotiation and diplomacy, and the signing of this agreement and the launch of this specialised course are a continuation of that journey. By advancing our initiatives — the Global Safety Net — we reaffirm that Dubai Humanitarian is not merely a logistical hub, but a global platform for learning, collaboration, and excellence, committed to connecting partners, supporting humanitarian action, and raising its standards worldwide."
For his part, Rehan Zahid, Deputy Director of the Centre of Competence on Humanitarian Negotiation, said: "We are delighted to formalise our partnership with Dubai Humanitarian and launch it through a specialised course for senior humanitarian leaders, organised in cooperation with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy."
