His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Ambulance and Civil Defence, has affirmed that the civil defence system in Dubai represents a cornerstone in enhancing community security and protecting lives and property, noting that the continuous development of systems and technologies reflects Dubai's firm commitment to maintaining the highest levels of readiness and response in line with the finest international standards.
This came during his official visit, the day before yesterday, to the General Command of Civil Defence in Dubai, where he was received by Expert Major General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Commander-General of Civil Defence in Dubai, along with a number of senior officers and heads of departments and sectors.
His Excellency the Minister expressed his profound pride in the remarkable progress witnessed by the system, saying: "What I have seen of advanced systems and the exceptional deployment of artificial intelligence represents an inspiring model for the journey of continuous development in protecting lives and property.
These achievements confirm conclusively that the United Arab Emirates, thanks to the vision of our wise leadership, is moving with firm and deliberate steps to become one of the safest and most peaceful countries in the world in the future."
During the visit, His Excellency Al Sayegh received a field briefing on the modern fire-fighting and control system, the fleet of advanced vehicles, and the specialised and technical equipment used in rapid intervention operations — which directly contribute to raising the efficiency and response rates for incidents — including AI-powered robots that have become an exceptional qualitative addition to firefighting and rescue operations.
He also reviewed the achievements of the General Command of Civil Defence in Dubai in the field of digital leadership and future foresight.
For his part, Expert Major General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi commended the Minister's visit, affirming: "All teams and security systems in the country are moving with confident steps and a unified vision inspired by the thinking of the wise leadership, to consolidate the UAE's standing as an oasis of security and safety."
Separately, His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh attended the workshop on "AI-Assisted Projects Initiatives for Civil Defence", held the day before yesterday at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Civil Defence in Ajman, as part of the Authority's efforts to deploy advanced technologies and artificial intelligence in developing the ambulance and civil defence system and enhancing its future readiness.
His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, in the presence of Major General Dr Jassim Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Commander-General of Civil Defence, and Brigadier Raed Obaid Al Zaabi, Director-General of Civil Defence Ajman, along with directors of civil defence authorities and regional departments across the country, was briefed on the workshop's outcomes and the future initiatives and projects targeting the deployment of AI-assisted technologies to develop the ambulance and civil defence system, enhance operational efficiency, and support rapid response to incidents and emergencies — in line with the UAE's directions to build a smart and sustainable government services system.
His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh affirmed that civil defence is deploying AI-assisted technologies within its vision aimed at enhancing global leadership and consolidating the UAE's standing as a world model in future foresight and the adoption of innovative solutions that contribute to protecting lives and property and raising quality of life.
For his part, Major General Dr Jassim Mohammed Al Marzouqi affirmed during the workshop that AI assistance is no longer merely a future technology, but has become an active partner in developing modern work environments, given the advanced capabilities it provides in information analysis and knowledge management.
