Emirati citizens have affirmed that the UAE's second-place global ranking in the Citizens' Trust in Artificial Intelligence Index reflects how members of society are benefiting from smart services and solutions. They said it embodies the state's commitment to providing comfort and quality of life to its citizens and residents, and confirms its success in cementing its position among the world's advanced and leading nations in adopting modern technologies.
Moza Al Dhabaa Al Darmaki said the UAE presents a global model for harnessing artificial intelligence in service of humanity and for advancing economic and social development. What distinguishes this approach, she noted, is that it does not stop at adopting modern technologies, but encompasses building an integrated ecosystem that includes legislation, investment, and the development of national competencies, ensuring the responsible and sustainable use of AI.
She believes that UAE youth are capable of keeping pace with this transformation and seizing its opportunities, particularly given the availability of world-class educational and training programmes that support innovation and give young people the chance to participate in building the economy of the future.
She explained that, on a personal level, she has benefited from the UAE's AI-supportive environment by developing her skills in the field and obtaining specialised certificates in AI engineering, agentic AI, and AI infrastructure. She added that she will begin a master's degree in artificial intelligence at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence during the current year.
She added that she also sees the impact of this direction within her own family: her daughter has founded an academy to teach children AI and innovation skills; her son has participated in scientific experiments and projects to develop simplified AI models; and her other daughter employs AI tools in artworks inspired by nature. She stressed that early investment in knowledge and technology has become part of the culture of the new generation in the UAE.
Transactions
For her part, Azza Al Ali affirmed that the UAE's move towards artificial intelligence has helped simplify many services that previously required considerable time and effort to complete, with many transactions and services now performed easily and quickly at the touch of a button.
She expressed full confidence in the state's decisions and its future direction, noting that they always serve the interests of society and its members, and expressed pride that the UAE continues to consolidate its standing among the world's advanced and leading nations across various fields.
Al Ali noted that the UAE's interest in artificial intelligence is not limited to developing and streamlining services, but also extends to empowering members of society through training courses and awareness programmes that explain the benefits and challenges of AI. This contributes to developing digital skills and enhancing individuals' ability to keep pace with technological developments and benefit from them in all aspects of life.
Ghaith Al Ghaithi affirmed that the pioneering role the UAE is leading in the field of artificial intelligence is significant and pivotal. While some believe AI will replace humans in jobs, he said he is convinced it will instead contribute to creating new ones.
He added that this is precisely what the UAE has banked on through its investment in Emirati youth, with UAE universities today offering a wide range of specialisations related to artificial intelligence across multiple fields, including management and business, medicine, life sciences, and various industries.
Engineer Muawiya Al Nuaimi, for his part, affirmed that genuine readiness to deal with AI technologies is not limited to using modern applications and tools and benefiting from them in study or work. It also encompasses understanding the challenges and responsibilities associated with them, foremost among which are information security, data protection, and digital privacy.
He noted that UAE youth today possess growing awareness of the importance of technology and its role in shaping the future of various sectors, alongside a strong ambition to capitalise on the opportunities AI provides for developing skills, raising productivity, and innovating new solutions. He added that the continuous support provided by the state in the areas of technology and innovation has helped bolster young people's confidence in their ability to keep pace with global transformations and participate in them effectively.
He explained that the rapid expansion in the use of AI technologies makes it essential to strengthen digital literacy across all segments of society, particularly with regard to the safe and responsible use of these technologies. He noted that maximising the benefits of AI requires striking a balance between embracing innovation on one hand, and awareness of the potential risks associated with cyber breaches or data misuse on the other.
He affirmed that the coming period holds great opportunities for young people to participate in building a more advanced digital economy, noting that investment in knowledge and digital skills will remain one of the most important factors enabling future generations to contribute to the journey of development and reinforce the UAE's leadership in future-oriented sectors.
Readiness
Content creator Amal Mohammed, for her part, affirmed that the UAE's second-place global ranking in the Citizens' Trust in Artificial Intelligence Index clearly reflects the proactive digital environment established by the wise leadership, and embodies the advanced level of readiness the country has achieved in building an integrated digital ecosystem that fosters trust in modern technologies and cements its position in global indices.
She added that this progress reflects the success of the state's approach to proactively adopting and localising AI technologies, noting that it represents a real opportunity for the younger generation to participate in this accelerating transformation, acquire new skills, and benefit from these technologies in study, work, and shaping the future. She stressed that today's youth have a clear passion and great readiness to engage with modern technologies, and do not view AI merely as a tool, but as a space for learning, experimentation, and contributing to development.
She added that their ambition extends beyond usage to contributing to the building and development of AI solutions within the country, reinforcing its global presence and keeping pace with its vision of digital leadership.
