Israeli artillery fired a number of shells on the town of Kfar Tibnit in southern Lebanon on Tuesday morning, while an Israeli drone dropped 3 sonic bombs on the town.

The town of Kfar Tibnit in southern Lebanon was struck by several artillery shells, accompanied by an Israeli drone dropping 3 sonic bombs on the town before noon on Tuesday, according to Lebanon's official National News Agency.

The agency added that at midday, an Israeli drone was recorded flying at low altitude over the town of Kfar Rumman, the Tapline road, and the Al-Najda Al-Shaabiya hospital in southern Lebanon.

The agency further reported that Israeli drones were recorded flying over the capital Beirut in the afternoon, as well as over the Jezzine area in southern Lebanon at low altitude.

Israeli forces had earlier on Tuesday fired towards young men in the town of Al-Nabatiyeh Al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon, and also opened fire at residents on the outskirts of the town of Hadatha while they were making their way to complete a burial at the town's cemetery.

The Health Emergency Operations Centre of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced in a statement that Israeli enemy fire on the town of Al-Nabatiyeh Al-Fawqa resulted in a final toll of 2 killed and 1 wounded.

An Israeli drone also dropped a sonic bomb on the town of Burashit in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, while another Israeli drone dropped a sonic bomb on the outskirts of the town of Ayta al-Jabal in southern Lebanon. Israeli forces conducted a sweep of the outskirts of the town of Hadatha in southern Lebanon using automatic weapons, with no casualties recorded.

Israeli surveillance and reconnaissance drones were recorded in the morning flying over the city of Tyre and its surroundings, particularly the areas of Al-Bass, the popular housing estates, and Jal Al-Bahr, at medium altitude. Israeli drones were also recorded flying over the southern suburb of the capital Beirut.

Israel launched a war on Lebanon on 2 March, after Hezbollah fired rockets at northern Israel. Israeli forces have occupied a number of towns in southern Lebanon.

Israeli strikes continued to target wide areas of southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, following the first ceasefire announcement between Lebanon and Israel on 16 April, which was then extended on 23 April for 3 weeks, and extended again on 15 May for 45 days.
