Kuwait's Ministry of Defence has announced that three land border posts in the north of the country came under a criminal aggressive attack, coinciding with a hostile drone strike on one of Kuwait Oil Company's offshore drilling platforms in Kuwaiti territorial waters, resulting in material damage and the injury of one worker who is receiving the necessary medical care.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Defence, Staff Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, said in a statement today carried by the Kuwait News Agency that the competent authorities immediately began taking the necessary measures to deal with the incident in coordination with the relevant bodies.
Colonel Al-Atwan stressed that the General Staff of the Army emphasises that the armed forces remain on full readiness and are taking all necessary measures and steps to preserve the country's security and territorial integrity.
