President Donald Trump told Fox News on Tuesday that he would expand the scope of US strikes on Iran next week to include power stations and bridges if Tehran does not reach an agreement.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump said: "Next week is going to be very bad for them, because next week power stations will be targeted. Next week bridges will be targeted."

He added: "We will destroy all their power stations. We will destroy all their bridges unless they come back to the negotiating table."

Trump's remarks came as US forces carried out strikes on Iran for the fourth consecutive day and reimposed a naval blockade on the country's ports.

When asked how long the US strikes would last, Trump replied: "They will continue until I say that's enough."
