United States Central Command announced the launch of a third round of military strikes against Iranian targets this week, stating that the attacks targeted air surveillance radars and missile and drone storage and launch sites.
The strikes came after reports that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard attacked a Cyprus-flagged container ship while it was transiting the Strait of Hormuz, causing a fire and serious damage to the engine room, as well as the disappearance of one crew member.
