Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy today restored power to a number of areas affected by an electricity outage, while emergency teams continue their work to restore electricity to the remaining areas as quickly as possible.

The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted the ministry as affirming that it is continuing to monitor the situation until the full restoration of service is complete.

Earlier today, Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy had announced that a number of electricity transmission lines had gone out of service, causing power cuts in scattered areas across the country. Emergency teams immediately activated the approved emergency plan to determine the causes of the outage, monitor the situation, and work to restore power as quickly as possible.
