The US Central Command said commercial vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is continuing after the United States launched further strikes against Iran on Saturday, targeting various sites, including military surveillance infrastructure.
The Command said in a statement: "Central Command forces launched strikes today in direct response to Iran's ongoing aggression against commercial shipping."
The statement added: "Following yesterday's US strikes in response to the Iranian attack on the vessel Ever Lovely, Iran was given the opportunity to comply with the ceasefire agreement, but chose not to do so when its forces launched a drone attack targeting the oil tanker Kiko this morning."
