The Kingdom of Bahrain has welcomed the success of mediation efforts carried out by the United Arab Emirates between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Ukraine, which resulted in the completion of a new prisoner exchange involving 320 prisoners from both sides. Bahrain described the development as a positive and constructive humanitarian step that contributes to supporting de-escalation efforts and enhancing prospects for a peaceful resolution to the Ukrainian crisis.
Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement carried by the Bahrain News Agency, affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain's appreciation for the diplomatic and humanitarian efforts exerted by the United Arab Emirates, and its contributions to the release of 7,791 prisoners since the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis through 25 mediation operations. The ministry renewed Bahrain's support for all regional and international initiatives aimed at ending the war through dialogue and peaceful means, alleviating its humanitarian consequences, and contributing to the enhancement of security, stability, and lasting peace at both the regional and international levels.
