US Secretary of State Marco Rubio affirmed that Lebanon's future belongs to the Lebanese people, saying this is what Washington will work towards and that it will deal directly with the Lebanese government.
The US Secretary of State said Iran will not be able to impose transit fees on the Strait of Hormuz under any final agreement with the United States, stressing that such an arrangement would be contrary to international law.
Rubio emphasised that hostilities in the region cannot end as long as Iran's proxies continue to fire missiles.
