Netanyahu says Israel will maintain 'security zone' in Lebanon for as long as necessary

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that the army will continue to occupy the "security zone" in southern Lebanon along the border with Israel "for as long as necessary."

Speaking at a press conference in Jerusalem, he said: "We have established a security zone in Lebanon, and we will maintain it for as long as it is necessary to protect our people." He also pledged not to withdraw from the areas Israel has pushed into in Syria or from Gaza.
