The United Arab Emirates has categorically denied reports that appeared in some international media outlets regarding the transfer or remittance of any funds from the UAE to the Islamic Republic of Iran, including claims relating to a sum of 3 billion dollars.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a communiqué that these allegations are untrue and are not based on any facts or reliable information, stressing that no frozen Iranian funds have been released, transferred, or moved through the UAE.
The Ministry also called on media outlets to ensure accuracy and to source information from official channels, and to refrain from circulating or publishing undocumented information or claims that lack credibility.
Separately, His Excellency Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to His Highness the President of the State, affirmed that the UAE recognises that addressing the challenges ahead requires three pillars: effective diplomacy, strong economic ties, and capable and credible deterrence. He added that the UAE is committed to the security and stability of the Arabian Gulf, as it is the foundation for shared prosperity.
His Excellency Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash wrote in a post on his account on the X platform: "In a more complex geostrategic era, the UAE recognises that engaging with the challenges ahead requires three pillars: effective diplomacy, strong economic ties, and capable and credible deterrence." He added: "The UAE will remain committed to the security and stability of the Arabian Gulf, as it is the foundation for shared prosperity."
