Scientific research by scholars at the University of Sassari in Italy has found that "flower honey" protects human skin cells from damage and premature ageing.
Experiments showed that treating the cells with a 1% concentration of this honey before exposing them to radiation enhanced their defensive capacity while reducing the activity of genes associated with ageing.
