The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre is presenting, as part of its Publications Project, the book Here is Abu Dhabi… Land of Loyalty by Emirati media figure Mufeed Mohammed Marʿi, which documents through its pages a professional and human experience spanning decades in the United Arab Emirates, recalling milestones that shaped a media memory intertwined with the nation's journey and renaissance.
The book takes the reader on a journey through the situations and memories the author lived during his media career, offering living testimonies of a pivotal era in the country's history, and highlighting the values upon which the Emirati experience was built — foremost among them loyalty, inspirational leadership, and national belonging.
The author describes the book as a message of loyalty to the United Arab Emirates and its leadership, and a tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan — may God rest his soul — whom he portrays as the foremost source of inspiration in his career. He affirms that the work is intended as a reference for his children and grandchildren, and as a sincere testimony to the development and achievements witnessed by the country, and to the human and national values instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan — may God rest his soul — values that continue to form the foundation of the Emirati renaissance.
A journey
The book also traces the contours of continuity in the nation-building journey, by following the achievements of the wise leadership and the progress that has made the United Arab Emirates a leading model of development, drawing on a vision that invests in people and preserves national identity.
This publication is released under the Publications Project of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, which is dedicated to publishing linguistic and literary studies, books on Arab heritage and travel, and works that chronicle the history, heritage, and culture of the United Arab Emirates. It also supports the output of Emirati writers and researchers, within the framework of the Centre's mission to advance the Arabic language, strengthen the movement of authorship and publishing, and empower Arabic content.
The project is an extension of the publishing division established in 1989 at the Cultural Complex, and continues today in its role of preserving cultural and national memory and enriching the Arabic library with quality publications.
