A delegation from the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, led by its Chairman Dr. Ali bin Tamim, met with relevant officials in the Republic of North Macedonia to discuss opportunities for academic and cultural cooperation and mechanisms for building sustainable partnerships with educational and cultural institutions.
The discussions took place in the context of preparations for the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2026, scheduled to be held at ADNEC Abu Dhabi from 13 to 18 September 2026, with the aim of highlighting the region's rich civilisational, linguistic, literary and artistic diversity.
During the delegation's visit to the capital Skopje, talks covered opportunities for Macedonian publishing houses, museums, national libraries and cultural institutions to participate in the fair's activities, as well as support for Arabic language teaching at universities, encouragement of translation and publishing movements, and cooperation in the preservation and digitisation of documentary heritage — all with a view to enhancing cultural and knowledge exchange between the two sides.
