The summer cultural and arts programme organised by the Asilah Forum Foundation in partnership with Bryn Mawr College in the United States has launched in the Moroccan city of Asilah, running until 20 July. The programme aims to provide an integrated educational and cultural experience that combines academic knowledge with direct engagement with the local community.
The programme contributes to strengthening cultural exchange between international students and the residents of Asilah, and to empowering young people through artistic and educational workshops that bring together theoretical and practical aspects, reinforcing values of dialogue, openness, and cooperation.
The initiative reflects the Asilah Forum Foundation's commitment to building bridges between cultures and creating spaces where young people from diverse backgrounds can meet to exchange experiences, discover Moroccan cultural heritage, and promote a culture of sustainability and community participation.
The programme includes a week packed with cultural, artistic, and educational activities, comprising tours to explore the city of Asilah and visits to several cities in northern Morocco, as well as interactive sessions on the city's history and its cultural, artistic, and creative experience. It also features workshops in poetry and visual expression under the supervision of Syrian calligraphic artist Khaled Al Saai, alongside the creation of a collective artwork with the participation of college students and young people from Asilah, reflecting a spirit of collaboration and shared creativity.
The programme additionally includes awareness sessions on sustainability, field activities on Asilah's beach, and cultural, musical, and entertainment events that foster interaction between participating students and the city's youth, giving them an opportunity to discover the unique cultural experience that distinguishes Asilah.
