The Juma Al Majid Centre for Culture and Heritage in Dubai participated in an international conference organised by the Academy of Sciences in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, from 12 to 13 June 2026, under the title: "Science, Technology and Innovation in the Era of the Renaissance of the Powerful State". The centre attended at the gracious invitation of the Turkmen Academy of Sciences.

The centre was represented at the conference proceedings by Dr Mohammed Kamel Gad, Director General of the centre, who delivered the centre's address at the plenary session in his capacity as a guest of honour. He also presented a research paper entitled: "Surgical Technical Development and Its Impact on the Advancement of Medicine in Islamic Civilisation" as part of the conference activities.

The President of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Mr Alaberdi Ashirov, expressed the Academy's pride in the participation of the Juma Al Majid Centre for Culture and Heritage, commending its efforts in serving sources of knowledge and culture and supporting scientific research at both the regional and international levels. He also noted the depth of the scientific partnership between the centre and the Manuscripts Institute in Ashgabat, which spans more than 15 years and continues to achieve sustained successes.

Ashirov extended his thanks to His Excellency Juma Al Majid in appreciation of his contributions to the fields of education, culture, and charitable work through several institutions, including the Juma Al Majid Centre for Culture and Heritage, private charitable schools, Al Wasl University, and Beit Al Khair Society, affirming that these efforts enjoy wide recognition inside Turkmenistan and beyond.

The conference saw the participation of 289 researchers from several countries, including Germany, China, Italy, Russia, South Korea, the United States of America, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, and Turkmenistan.
