The photography exhibition 'Seven Visions from the Emirates', by artist and photographer Imad al-Din Ala al-Din, continues to open its doors free of charge to the public daily from 9am to 9pm until 21 June at the Plaza Hall in One Za'abeel, Dubai, in an artistic atmosphere reflecting the grandeur of design and the beauty of creativity.
The exhibition was recently visited by a number of prominent cultural figures, including His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Chairman of the Board of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation; Abdul Hamid Ahmad, Secretary-General of the Sultan bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation; writer and media personality Tha'en Shaheen; Dr Salah Al Qasim, Administrative Director of the Symposium for Culture and Science in Dubai; visual artist Khalil Abdul Wahid, Director of Visual Arts at Dubai's Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture); Mohammed Al Qassab, member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Fine Arts Society; Fatima Al Jallaf, Acting Director of Performing Arts at the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority; and poet and media personality Hussein Darwish.
The exhibition comprises 7 photographs executed with high-end techniques, depicting the interior designs of domes in a selection of the country's mosques. These highlight the radiant harmony of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, the serenity and tranquillity of Sheikha Shaikha bint Saeed Al Maktoum Mosque in Dubai, the intricate geometric details of Al Dhaid Mosque in Sharjah, the contemporary architectural designs of Amna bint Ahmed Al Ghurair Mosque in Ajman, the enchantment and stillness of Yousef Darwish Mosque in Ras Al Khaimah, the masterfully crafted moments of awe at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Fujairah, and the unique deployment of light at Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Mosque in Umm Al Quwain.
For his part, photographer Imad al-Din Ala al-Din affirmed that the creative purpose of this exhibition is not limited solely to documenting the beauty of architectural art across the UAE, explaining that through his photographic works he sought to instil a profound sense of belonging, harmony, and shared identity.
It is worth noting that Ala al-Din's creative works and interior designs of places of worship, domes, and geometric forms are distinguished by their ability to document visual narratives that reflect spirituality, artistic creativity, and cultural identity, employing light, symmetry, and geometric detail to present visual narratives that invite contemplation and emotional connection.
