His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Kayed Al Qasimi, Special Adviser to the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received Mohammed Kamel Al Muaini, President of the International Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Dubai, at his majlis in the Al Siyoh area of Ras Al Khaimah. The meeting addressed ways to strengthen cultural work and the role of cultural diplomacy in cementing the values of dialogue and mutual understanding among peoples, alongside a review of the initiatives and programmes being implemented by the Institute at both the local and international levels.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Kayed Al Qasimi was briefed on the most prominent initiatives of the International Institute for Cultural Diplomacy, which aim to employ culture as a bridge for civilisational communication, enhance rapprochement among different cultures, and highlight the role of soft power in supporting sustainable development and consolidating the principles of coexistence and tolerance — through quality programmes and partnerships with cultural, academic, and diplomatic institutions in a number of countries around the world.
Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Kayed Al Qasimi praised the efforts of Mohammed Kamel Al Muaini in leading the Institute, commending the initiatives he presents that contribute to elevating the standing of cultural diplomacy and entrenching the values of openness and constructive dialogue. He affirmed that cultural work represents a fundamental pillar in building bridges of human connection and enhancing cooperation among peoples.
His Excellency stressed that purposeful cultural initiatives contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and the promotion of mutual understanding, and support efforts aimed at building a future founded on peace and mutual respect.
