The Arab Cultural Club organised an artistic workshop titled "The Aesthetics of Arabic Letters", in which calligrapher Khalifa Al Shaimi, chairman of the club's artistic committee, delivered explanations and live demonstrations on the calligraphic and visual uses of the Arabic letter. He offered a historical overview of the origins of Arabic scripts, the influence of reed pens on their development, and the rules laid down by the masters of this art.
Khalifa Al Shaimi opened his workshop by discussing the history of calligraphy and how its rules were established. He reviewed several script styles — including Thuluth, Diwani, Naskh, Nastaliq, Ruq'a, and Kufic — explaining the principles of each. Al Shaimi also presented works from his own portfolio spanning the various script types.
