The Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award — one of the world's most prominent prizes honouring individuals and institutions that have contributed to advancing the production and dissemination of knowledge — held its second meeting of 2026 to discuss the shortlist of candidates and complete the final stage of screening nominations, which will conclude with the announcement and honouring of winners during the Knowledge Summit 2026.

The Knowledge Award was launched in 2015 on the initiative of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him.

The meeting was chaired by Jamal bin Huwareb, Secretary-General of the Award and Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation. Speaking on the occasion, he said: "This meeting represents the closing stage of the work of the Award's ninth edition."
