Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities is participating in the Beijing International Book Fair 2026, held in the Chinese capital Beijing from 17 to 21 June, as part of the unified UAE national pavilion known as "The Emirati House".

This marks the university's second consecutive year at the fair, and comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence at regional and international cultural and knowledge events, consolidate its role as an international centre for the production of humanistic knowledge, and build bridges of civilisational dialogue between peoples and cultures.

Within the Emirati House pavilion, the university is displaying a diverse range of its scientific, intellectual, and cultural publications, including specialised encyclopaedias, peer-reviewed academic journals, books and research studies, scientific theses, and the proceedings of international conferences covering distinguished topics in Islamic studies and the humanities.

These publications reflect the breadth of academic activity at the university and its contributions to producing rigorous knowledge, advancing scientific research, and enriching the Arabic and global library with academic and intellectual content that addresses questions of humanity, society, and contemporary civilisational transformations. The university is also participating in the fair's accompanying cultural programme through a scholarly session entitled "Intellectual Awareness and Human Empowerment: Foundations of Social Stability", which will discuss the impact of accelerating digital transformations and the flow of information on the shaping of awareness, the importance of cultivating critical thinking, and the enhancement of human knowledge-building as the fundamental pillar for achieving social stability and sustainable development.

His Excellency Dr Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, Director of Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities, affirmed that the university's participation in the Beijing International Book Fair 2026 reflects its commitment to its scientific and humanitarian mission, and its pursuit of strengthening its presence in the global cultural landscape through active contribution to the production, dissemination, and application of knowledge in the service of societies, and by highlighting the role of the humanities in building awareness and supporting rapprochement and understanding among peoples. He noted in particular that the event provides an opportunity to exchange expertise with a distinguished array of global intellectual, cultural, and academic institutions, and to forge quality partnerships that contribute to the development of humanistic studies and enhance their role in addressing contemporary issues and challenges.

He also noted that the United Arab Emirates has succeeded in presenting a civilisational model that has made knowledge, tolerance, and openness the foundations of development and stability, affirming that the country's selection as guest of honour at this year's fair embodies the depth of the strategic relations and growing partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the People's Republic of China, and reflects the continuous cooperation between the two countries, which contributes to enriching the international cultural and knowledge landscape.
