Trends Research & Advisory, part of the Trends Group, is set to participate in the 32nd Beijing International Book Fair 2026 under the umbrella of the UAE's "UAE House" pavilion, as the United Arab Emirates is the guest of honour at this edition, held under the theme "Society and People" at the China National Convention Center.
The participation reflects Trends' approach to expanding its intellectual presence on the international stage and strengthening its knowledge partnerships with leading global research and academic institutions, with the aim of building sustainable bridges of civilisational exchange between peoples.
Lead researcher Abdulaziz Al Shahi, Deputy Director-General of Trends Research & Advisory and head of the delegation to Beijing, affirmed that China represents a pivotal strategic pillar within Trends' orientations and knowledge projects, noting its rich civilisational heritage and academic institutions of significant international weight and influence.
He said that Trends' presence at the Beijing International Book Fair, under the UAE House umbrella — which is overseen by the UAE Embassy in Beijing — stems from a genuine intellectual commitment to reading global transformations, analysing them, and offering effective forward-looking insights.
He added that Trends is working to strengthen its partnerships with leading Chinese and international think tanks, in a way that supports knowledge production and dissemination efforts, and opens promising horizons for digital transformation and knowledge management between the two countries.
Rawdha Al Marzouqi, Head of the Distribution and Exhibitions Sector at Trends, outlined the features of the intellectual participation in this prominent international event, affirming that Trends' platform at the UAE House will present Chinese and global audiences with a diverse and rich selection of its research and knowledge output.
She noted that the platform features the latest publications of Trends Research & Advisory, alongside series of strategic, political, and economic studies, as well as the most prominent volumes of the "Trends Encyclopedia on the Muslim Brotherhood", which has received wide international attention and been translated into several languages.
Trends' participation falls within the UAE House, which includes more than 120 participants representing over 20 federal and local entities as well as cultural and academic institutions. The pavilion presents a vivid and comprehensive picture of the UAE's cultural and knowledge dynamism, serving as a testament to a distinguished Emirati presence that combines authentic identity with global cultural openness.
