ePointZero, the global platform focused on investing in specialised energy infrastructure assets and a subsidiary of the 2PointZero Group, announced today the completion of its acquisition of Traverse Midstream Partners, LLC, a portfolio company of The Energy & Minerals Group (EMG), which specialises in direct investment in the natural resources sector, for $2.25 billion in an all-cash transaction.
Under the deal, ePointZero acquires non-operating minority stakes in two of the most significant natural gas transmission infrastructure assets in the United States: a 35% interest in Rover Pipeline and a 25% interest in the Ohio River System (ORS) dry gas gathering system, both operated by Energy Transfer, one of the largest and most established energy infrastructure operators in the United States.
The transaction marks a strategic milestone for ePointZero, representing its first acquisition in US natural gas infrastructure. It also reinforces the company's strategy of building a diversified global investment portfolio of high-quality energy assets capable of generating stable and sustainable cash flows underpinned by long-term contracts.
The deal also represents a meaningful entry into one of the world's most important natural gas markets, strengthening ePointZero's ability to capitalise on growing demand for reliable, low-emission energy sources and enabling it to deploy capital at scale into high-quality global energy infrastructure assets.
The transaction further reflects the company's direction towards expanding its investments in critical infrastructure, amid the growing importance of energy security at the global level.
On the occasion, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of the 2PointZero Group, said:
