Most US stocks rose in midday trading on Wednesday as major indices slipped due to a decline in technology shares.
The broader S&P 500 index recovered its modest early losses of 0.1% to trade flat at midday.
Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 57 points, or 0.1%, by 2:14 p.m. Eastern Time, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.3%.
