The Dubai Government Human Resources Department will organise the Human Resources Forum 2026 tomorrow, Tuesday, under the theme "Human Resources in the Age of Agentic Artificial Intelligence", in line with the emirate's drive to strengthen the government sector's readiness for the rapid transformations in AI technologies and to support the building of a more efficient and agile government model based on human-technology integration.

The forum comes as agentic AI plays a growing role in reshaping the future of government work, influencing decision-making mechanisms, human resources management, job design, and skills development — boosting productivity and raising institutional performance efficiency, while affirming that humans will remain in the decision-making seat within a clear and accountable governance framework.

The event brings together a distinguished group of government leaders, policymakers, technology experts, and human resources officials to discuss the profound transformations taking place in the labour market, particularly with regard to redefining jobs, building skills for the future, and developing governance frameworks for the use of AI in work environments.

The forum will also address the balance between technological innovation, accountability, and institutional trust, and how government entities can harness AI as an enabling tool rather than a substitute for human decision-making, alongside examining the readiness of government personnel for the next phase of advanced digital work.

Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, affirmed that the UAE and Dubai are advancing towards a proactive, digitally supported government model, noting that the challenge lies not only in adopting technology but in deploying it in ways that enhance human capabilities and preserve trust and public value, while ensuring that the final decision remains in human hands.

The forum serves as a strategic dialogue platform bringing together various government entities and experts to exchange visions on the future of work in the age of agentic AI, supporting the development of more flexible and future-ready policies and advancing the digital transformation agenda in Dubai's government sector.
