Momentum in Dubai's retail markets continued yesterday as families and visitors from within and outside the emirate streamed into shopping centres and commercial districts. The influx of tourists — Arab visitors in particular — choosing to spend Eid in Dubai drove sales growth, especially as shops and retail chains offered special promotions throughout the holiday period.

Discounts and deals covered a wide range of products, while the reductions and special offers from outlets participating in the "3 Days of Big Discounts" promotion gave sales a significant boost.

Open-air retail districts and shopping malls across Dubai welcomed large numbers of visitors yesterday in a distinctly family-oriented and festive atmosphere, with activity in the retail sector expected to remain strong today and tomorrow as the extended Eid holiday draws to a close.
