European stocks closed lower on Friday, with major indices declining across regional markets.
The pan-European Stoxx 600 index fell 0.68% to 635.88 points, while Germany's DAX dropped 1.25% to 24,681.72 points. France's CAC 40 also retreated 0.55% to close at 8,384.87 points.
